What Does Inprana Mean?

How our name defines our clinic, and mission as practitioners.

If you’ve read around the website or are looking into some of the services we offer, you may have come across the term “pranic energy” or the concept of “Prana,” let alone our clinic’s name.

But what does prana mean, and how does it tie in our clinic’s name and our mission?

In its original Sanskrit meaning, prana is a word that simply means “breath of life.” Prana is concerned with the energy, or pranic energy, that flows through everything from the sun and connects life together.

If you think this sounds like a certain popular science fiction movie and the “force,” you’re not wrong. In fact, the concept of eastern philosophies surrounding prana and pranic energy are a direct inspiration for many popular culture movies, books and shows.

Much like Yoda’s “Do or do not, there is no try,” the practices informed by pranic energy are very much centred around intent and shifting negative mindsets to create positive realities for a patient.

We can see here that pranic energy is concerned with finding ways to help a patient’s mental and overall health so that their bodies can do the best possible of healing.

When we’re recovering from surgery, an accident, our souls are injured as well from trauma, and we can become flooded with negative energies and the negative emotions and mental states that come with them. This in turn helps stimulate the innate healing mechanisms of the body.

Being “inprana” is a simple extension of the idea that your body should always be in the act of moving energies, or “breathing life,” by breaking up blockages and letting the positive flow through you.

This core concept greatly informs our mission with many of our services. By combining conventional medical practices informed by our understanding and use of pranic energy concepts, we want you to achieve your ultimate level of health.

If you have any questions or want to discuss what kind of treatment plan may be best for you, please let us know, we’d love to help you work on your pranic energy today.
